What information do you need from me?
This depends on the job and after our initial conversation I'll send you my New Client Questionnaire to fill out; it's designed to give me a complete understanding of your brand/project so that I can accurately generate a design that's suited for your target audience and will reflect your brand identity. However the details listed below are a good indication and will jump-start the process:

Yes, absolutely, as long as you own the design or have sufficient permission to update/change it.
How much involvement can I have in the project?
As much or as little as you'd like. I prefer you to be involved, and for some large or ongoing projects I'd recommend we schedule regular meetings to keep you up to date, but it's completely up to you.
How can i check on the progress of my design?
Just ask. I ensure that my clients are always updated during the process but if you'd like more regular updates, just drop me an email and I'll get back to you with an update ASAP.
What if I don't like it?
Then we throw it out and start again. I've been at this a long time; I won't cry myself to sleep if you don't like the first draft. Usually, the brief gives me a pretty accurate feel for a project and, nine times out of ten, I hit the nail on the head with the first try - just look at my reviews. However, I like to work closely with my clients and keep them updated at every step of the way so if you don't like the the direction we're heading, we'll have plenty of opportunities to re-direct. I'm experienced in many different styles so if you hate the first draft, we'll move in a new direction.
Will I own my design(s)?
Yes, of course. Upon receiving full payment, all rights to the design are transferred to you.
How many options/concepts do you provide?
Let me be frank: I'm not in the business of canned designs. I don't have a bank of pre-generated pieces that I'll slap your name on and try to sell to you. I will pitch you a well thought-out, custom design based on your unique brand identity and needs, supported by your preferences and my 5+ years of industry experience. I will focus on your target audience, brand identity and goals, then create a design that will reflect your services and promote business growth. This typically means you'll get a single concept design which -nine times out of ten- my clients are over the moon with. It's very unusual that I miss the mark with the first concept design but, if you don't like it, I'll scrap it and start over.
Having said that, you can request multiple concept designs (perhaps you're interested in multiple styles) and I'll happily oblige you.
How will i receive my design(s)?
Once the project is complete and I've received payment, I'll send you across all your files either via email or WeTransfer.com. Until that point, I'll keep you up to date with screenshots of your design(s).
Which file types are included in the cost?
This depends entirely on what I'm creating for you because different projects will be worked on in different programs and some may require specific exporting. You will always receive a source file (AI, PSD or INDD). For vector artwork such as logos or illustrations, you'll also receive a PNG, an EPS and a JPG. For formatted work such as business cards, flyers, catalogues or labels, you'll receive both a print and web-ready copy as well as your source file.
Certain projects may require additional files but those will be determined on an individual basis.
You won't be able to open your source files (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign) unless you have access to the Adobe Suite, but don't worry; you won't need to. I provide you with these for safe-keeping in case you ever want to build from them in the future. Just keep them safe for now.
Will you stay within budget?
Yes, when I provide a quote you'll be informed if it's a fixed or hourly rate (depending on the task). If it's a fixed quote, then it will never change. If it's an hourly quote then I'll provide you with an estimation; if we're nearing the allotted time, I'll give you plenty of notice and we can discuss how to proceed.
If you're working within a budget, don't worry, most people are. Just let me know early on and we can tailor the package to suit you. I'm more than happy to discuss how I can provide you with the best value for money.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, when you receive your quote you'll see that I require 15% of the total sum upfront before I start any work. This figure is then deducted from your final bill.
How can I pay?
The bank details will be clearly stated on your invoice however, to cut a long story short, I can only accept bank transfers: no cash, no PayPal, no cheques. Payment can be made in British Pounds Sterling or Euros.
